Welcome to South Austin Aikido

We will have an open mat every other Saturday for the next several weeks (see schedule below).  This time will be used for review of the upcoming kyu tests and all are welcome to participate in these 90 minute training sessions.

We just finished three incredible days with George Ledyard Sensei and our friends at Alamo City Aikido.  More information on this awesome seminar will be available in the next few days. 

We are also sorting through the many wonderful pictures taken by Barbara and we expect to have them available to view very soon.

The video of our recent seminar with Sunny Skys Sensei is now available for purchase.  Jurgen Schmidt has filmed all of the seminars at Alamo City Aikido and several at our dojo.  These videos are nicely done, providing us the opportunity to review the many lessons by all of the awesome instructors that have visited our two dojos.

We now have a calendar that shows dojo events and seminars (thank you William).  This will show by day (in calendar format) events for both South Austin Aikido and Alamo City Aikido.

Our friends at Alamo City Aikido in San Antonio will be hosting their 3rd annual fall seminar with George Ledyard Sensei on October 13th-15th.  Ledyard Sensei is a long time student of Mitsugi Saotome Sensei , and the Dojo Cho of the Eastside Aikido Dojo in Bellevue, WA.

This is an excellent seminar to attend, regardless of where you may be in your training.  Ledyard Sensei is truly a wonderful teacher.  His understanding of weapons, open hand techniques and Aikido principles, along with his warm willingness to interact with students of all levels, provides an atmosphere that is lively and productive for training.
