Welcome to South Austin Aikido

Happy Birthday to Tommy Kammerer who rolled and rolled and rolled and rolled on Sunday.  A new Hill Country Aikido birthday roll record of 190 rolls.  It must be nice to be 18.  Way to go Tommy!!

Chad tested for rokyu and had an incredible test. Leslie Sensei threw him a couple of curves with techniques like katatedori kotegaeshi and katatedori kaitenage but Chad handled them with little problem. Leslie Sensei commented on the level of detail Chad displayed in his aikido.  Many good elements were present. 

Though Chad might have been a little nervous at the start, he settled into a nice rhythm.  Great movement and posture, especially considering he has only been training since August.  Great job Chad!!

Christopher after much preparation tested for Rokyu on Sunday.  It was evident that he had spent a lot of time in preparation.  What a nice test.  The movements were smooth with nice angles in all techniques.  It was apparent that Christopher had spent a lot of time in preparation.  Great effort Christopher!! 

Jesse provided most of the ukeme for the test.  Rumor has it that Jesse felt it is easier to take the test than to be uke.  I think he got a little winded.  Jesse will get your chance soon.
