On Sunday Chrystie tested for rokyu. This was her first test having only trained for about 5 months. The first test is usually the most terrifying because you simply do not know what to expect. Chrystie, while a little nervous, showed that she has learned a great deal in a short period of time. She moved through every required technique, plus several additional ones without any problem. Great job Chrystie and keep up the good work!
Following the test we all went to Fuddruckers for burgers. Though I ate too much, I enjoyed the time with the many aikidoka that came to celebrate Chrystie’s kyu test. Thanks to everyone who came to support the kyu test and special thanks to Tommy, Brian, Alina and Tim for providing the ukeme during the test. |
