Welcome to South Austin Aikido

On Sunday we had three tests which included a third kyu (sankyu), and two fourth kyu (yonkyu) tests.  Jesse Spears tested for sankyu, while Christopher Fitzgerald and Jeanne Martin tested for yonkyu. 

Once again the tests showed regular practice is the key.  Jeanne had one of the most inspirational randori, which included a lot of relaxed movement and relaxed arms.  She often was able to spin out of problem spots by turning and moving.  Christopher displayed many improved aspects of his aikido and showed good understanding of the techniques.  Jesse has also come a long way since he began his training and continues to improve each day. 

Thanks to everyone who stayed to support the testing and for providing ukemi for the tests.  Great job Jeanne, Christopher and Jesse!!
