On Sunday we had three tests which included a sixth kyu (rokyu), and two fourth kyu (yonkyu) tests. Ryan Ugland tested for rokyu while Alina Bushong and Pamela Tovar tested for yonkyu. The tests were long. I cannot remember a rokyu test or even a yonkyu test which lasted for almost one hour. The test candidates all performed in a manner consistent with someone who has diligently trained as was exemplified in all the techniques performed. Although I made a few notes on things to work on in the future months, the tests were all outstanding. Great job everyone!! Special thanks to Tommy Kammerer and Chad Leath for preparing the test candidates for this test. Thanks to everyone who stayed to support the test and those who provided ukemi for the test. It is truly enjoyable to watch the kyu tests and recognize how much everyone is improving. Keep up the good work.
