Welcome to South Austin Aikido

On Sunday Matt Czosnek tested for his first rank in aikido, Rokyu. The test went very well, with Matt showing a lot of focus and preparation. There is simply no substitute for regular practice. Matt demonstrated an understanding of all required techniques, plus a few “off the cuff” techniques that were included in his test. His randori also showed a lot of improvement in just a short period of time. Congratulations to Matt on a great test!

Following the test several of us ventured to Pei Wei Asian Diner for a bite to eat. Good training deserves good eating. Thanks to Chad, Tommy, Jesse, Tim, Alina and Todd for providing ukemi during the test and to our video/still photographers, Chrystie and Barbara.
