Last weekend we had the pleasure of traveling to San Antonio to see our friends at Alamo City Aikido as they hosted Bill Gleason Sensei from Boston Massachusetts. The seminar was a great success with 13 people from Austin attending and there were over 30 aikidoka on the mat during all three sessions.

Gleason Sensei proceeded to give us plenty to work on focusing on hip movement and line. He constantly reminded us of the use of desynchronized movement utilizing first the hip then the fire hand followed by the water hand. Interesting enough it seemed to pull a lot together for many of us who have been working on ideas we received from Craig Slack Sensei, Saotome Sensei and George Ledyard Sensei. I was also impressed with the ukemi of many of our members including Tommy, Chad, Tim, Mark, and Darrell. We just keep getting better. It was truly a great learning experience for all of us who attended.

Thanks to the members of Alamo city Aikido for making this seminar a great success. Special thanks to Michael and Shawn Young and the Jester family for allowing so many of us to stay with them over the seminar weekend.
