On Sunday we had a special training day lead by Craig Slack Sensei of Alamo City Aikido.  It was a great class with Craig Sensei focusing on different methods of relaxing the arm and initiating movement from the Hara.  We worked on beginning with a wave or whip, just like you would pop a towel and gradually on utilizing that motion with direction and purpose.

The training was awesome!  Filled with plenty of wonderful energy from the 21 aikidoka on the mat.  The three hours of training seemed to go by very fast.  Later I realized just how tired I was.  Though I left tired, it was a lot of fun.

Following class the group went to Pei Wei for an early dinner, with plenty of food and fun visiting with our friends and fellow aikidoka.  It was a perfect day with great training followed by great food.

Thanks to Craig Sensei and Sylvia for coming to practice and sharing their aikido with all of us here in Austin.  We are looking forward to your next visit.
