We are delighted and honored to welcome Mary Heiny Sensei for a three-day long seminar on February 22nd to 24th, 2008.

For fourty years Heiny Sensei has followed a path of inspiration as a student and teacher of Aikido. She began training after watching Osensei teach a class at Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan in 1965. She studied at Hombu Dojo from 1968 to 1973 with Osensei’s direct students and with Hikitsuchi Sensei, 10th dan, in Shingu, Over the last thirty-five years her aikido teachings have inspired thousands of aikidoka in the US, Canada and Europe.

We will be having a potluck the Saturday evening of the seminar weekend at the home of Violina Rindova and Denne Reed.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy good food and good fun with our friends.  SAA members can get more information about this potluck in the member section of our website.  Maps will be available at the dojo during the seminar.

We highly recommend this seminar to everyone in our Aikido community, regardless of where you may be in your training.   Aikidoka of all levels will enjoy this special time.  See y'all on the mat.
