Following two years of training in a street fighting system “Kajukenbo”, he then spent eight years training in Tae Kwon Do.  Jay Lindholm, Sensei taught at his own Tae Kwon Do school in Dallas, for two years prior to moving to Austin, Texas in 1989.  </div> <div> Lindholm Sensei started his aikido career in 1989 which has continued through today encompassing 17 years of consistent aikido practice.  Lindholm Sensei regularly attends training seminars with both <A HREF="hiroshi_ikeda_shihan.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan">Ikeda Sensei</A> and <A HREF="mitsugi_saotome_shihan.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Mitsugi Saotome Shihan">Saotome Sensei</A> to bring ideas and training methods back to the dojo.  His motto is “just start wherever you are and Boulder Aikikai.  His energetic presence, fun-loving nature, clean and stylish form, clarity of presentation, and warm willingness to interact with students of all levels creates an atmosphere for commitment to his students keeps him constantly on the move.  During the school semester, he heads the Aikido program at San Jose State University while teaching night classes at Aiki Zenshin
